The Security Monkey Case Files

These are not my writing. They’re the work of Chief Monkey, who wrote a run of security-investigation stories on the A Day in the Life of an Information Security Investigator blog (better known as the “Security Monkey” blog) at it.toolbox.com through the 2000s. The site is gone; the Internet Archive kept a copy, and I’ve mirrored the case files here so they don’t disappear entirely. There’s a bit more on why in my post about them.

The cases are numbered in the same order as Chief Monkey’s own official case file index, and run from 2003 to 2010. Each page holds one full case, with every part in sequence and a link back to the archived original.
